Ocho Sur has been working to improve our forest reserves and other degraded areas around the plantation through reforestation. Ocho Sur has planted native trees such as Caoba, Cedro, and Ishpingo, and has also used native flowering plants within the plantation to naturally help with pest control.
Since 2022, Ocho Sur has planted more than 3,800 trees and 176,000 seedlings of shrubs, fruit trees, nectar-producing plants, and medicinal plants.
Protecting our permanent reservation areas are part of our commitment to protect biodiversity and bio density in our plantation.
