The operations of the Ocho Sur extraction plant (Servicios Agrarios de Pucallpa) began in February 2020. Since its startup, it has made a large impact on the exports of the Ucayali region.
According to the Regional Trade Report from the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism, palm oil exports rose from 9 million dollars in 2019 to around 74 million dollars in 2023.
This rapid growth, directly related to the agro-industrial presence of Ocho Sur, has displaced historically exporting sectors, such as the forestry sector.
The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR) reported: “The export supply of Ucayali is primarily composed of palm oil and derivatives (51% of the total)… Since 2020, the export of palm oil and derivatives has surpassed that of forest goods, becoming the top exported good in the region.”
Bringing Value to Ucayali
Since our palms began to produce fruit, we have become an important component of the Ucayali Economy. Our business is a significant contributor to the exports of Ucayali.
