Continuing with its policy of social responsibility and community relations, Ocho Sur, a business group dedicated to the sustainable production of oil palm products and derivatives in Ucayali, delivered the new premises of the Delegated Municipality of the Esperanza Population Center of the Nueva Requena district.
The brand new municipal premises built with noble materials and wood in an area of 200 square meters, with electricity, water and drainage, was received by its mayor Robert Flores Cruz, who expressed his gratitude to the palm oil company for the important work delivered.
“Before we did not have a fixed place in our population to attend to the procedures for births, deaths, and civil registration, which the community members require. Today, thanks to Ocho Sur, it is a reality to see the offices of the Delegate Municipality of Esperanza,” said the municipal authority at the opening ceremony.
For his part, the Community Relations Manager of Ocho Sur, Ulises Saldaña, stated that this new work was a promise kept by the general manager of Ocho Sur, Michael Spoor, who on a previous visit to Esperanza noticed the lack of a local to meet the municipal requirements of the town center.
“So, in coordination with the mayor and authorities, we got going and began the construction of this facility, so that the population would no longer have the need to go to the district or provincial office to do their municipal business. Now they will be able to do it right here,” remarked the senior official of the palm oil company.
It should be noted that the Delegate Municipality of Esperanza will not only attend to the competent management of its population center, but will also cover the attention to its neighboring towns of Unión Progreso, Naranjal, Miraflores, Puerto Alegre and the native community Shambo Porvenir.
The opening ceremony was attended by its authorities: Jairo Ramírez (Lieutenant Governor), César Gonzales (Justice of the Peace), Andrea Rojas (Regidor), Juan Amasifuen (former mayor), José María Cayo Gutiérrez (Director of the IE of Esperanza), as well as its enthusiastic population and its beauties Dulce Celeste (Miss Esperanza) and Karen I (Señora Esperanza).
