Pucallpa.- Given the proliferation of false information spread by certain media and non-governmental organizations interested in sowing discord among Peruvians for their own benefit, Ocho Sur came out to deny the false narrative with an official statement.
In it, the company informed the public that it is one of the few agricultural units in the Peruvian jungle that has an approved soil study for its farms and change of land use granted by the competent authorities, so the modifications to the forestry law approved that exempt these requirements to help the formalization of hundreds of thousands of farmers, do not apply.
In that sense, he flatly denied certain NGOs and related people who are trying to mislead public opinion by maliciously stating that these changes are for the benefit of a company.
Ocho Sur confirmed that, since the beginning of its operations in 2016, it has not increased a single hectare of palm and that, on the contrary, it has reforested more than 400 hectares within its farms. Likewise, it recently signed an agreement with the Shambo Porvenir Native Community to conserve and protect 800 hectares of forest in a historic and exemplary agreement in the country.
The company expressed its total respect for the Institutions of the Peruvian government, both the Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches; and rejected the way in which certain organizations seek to impose their narrative at all costs, without caring about damaging the good name and reputation of institutions and people who do not think the same as them.
Finally, the company stands in solidarity with the millions of Peruvian farmers who live illegally and are subject to criminalization by regulations promoted by these organizations, which are not capable of recognizing the existing reality and the clamor of the productive sector that generates more employment in the country.
In that sense, Ocho Sur called for serenity, the search for peace and constructive dialogue because only through unity, respect and the promotion of values can inclusive and sustainable development be achieved for the benefit of the Peruvian people. , and not from a few groups that do not represent the interests of the people.
