Descargar PDF After nearly four months of exciting qualifying matches among 27 men’s and women’s teams from 16 rural communities in the districts of Nueva Requena and Curimaná, the Grand Final of the “IV Ocho Sur Cup 2025” Intercommunity Soccer Championship will take place on Sunday, September 21, at the Nueva Requena Stadium.
This highly anticipated sports event is organized annually by Ocho Sur Group, a leading agribusiness company dedicated to the sustainable production of palm oil and its derivatives in Ucayali, Peru, as part of its strong social responsibility and community relations program.
A TOURNAMENT THAT UNITES COMMUNITIES
The 2025 edition of the Ocho Sur Intercommunity Championship brought together 15 men’s teams and 12 women’s teams, celebrating sport, teamwork, and friendship. Week after week, hundreds of players and fans filled the local fields with excitement, strengthening the bonds between neighboring communities, villages, and settlements.
MEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL
The Men’s Final will feature a thrilling match between San Pablo de Juantía, which defeated Esperanza 1–0 on September 7, and Naranjal, which earned its spot in the final by winning 3–0 against Bajo Rayal on the same date.
WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL
In the Women’s Final, San Juan de Tahuapoa will face Naranjal. San Juan de Tahuapoa reached the final after defeating Santa Clara de Uchunya 1–0, while Naranjal earned its ticket by overcoming Unión Progreso 2–1.
MATCHES FOR THIRD AND FOURTH PLACE
Before the Grand Finals, two exciting matches will determine the third and fourth places:
Women: Santa Clara de Uchunya vs. Bajo Rayal
Men: Unión Progreso vs. Esperanza
The entire event will take place at the Nueva Requena Stadium, recently renovated in vibrant green and yellow through an agreement between Ocho Sur and the Municipality of Nueva Requena. The celebration will begin at 8:00 a.m., and entry is free for the entire community.
SURPRISE GUESTS AND SPORTS CELEBRATION
Adding to the excitement, the Grand Final will feature the special participation of two renowned former football players and a popular artist, who will interact with the audience and bring even more energy and joy to this community sports festival. Their names will be revealed soon.
