MUNICIPALITY OF NEW REQUENA AND OCHO SUR DELIVERY NEW COMMUNAL PREMISES TO SHAMBO PORVENIR

The District Municipality of Nueva Requena and Ocho Sur, a business group dedicated to the sustainable production of oil palm products and derivatives in Ucayali, delivered a new Communal Premises to the Shambo Porvenir Native Community.

This infrastructure was built by the community members in an area of 200 square meters, in their own locality, with the financial contribution of the district municipality and the palm oil growing group, within the framework of its policy of social responsibility and community relations.

Amid the excitement of its residents, the Communal Local was inaugurated by the mayor of Nueva Requena, Humberto Banda Estela: and the community relations manager Ulises Saldaña.

The event was attended by the head of the Shambo Porvenir native community, Bruno Tangoa Inocente, accompanied by his local authorities; and the body of councilors of that district.

During the ceremony, the senior official of the palm oil company pointed out that this new infrastructure will serve not only for community meetings in general assemblies, but also for cultural, educational, artisanal and other purposes, which will strengthen community coexistence and improve its services. basics.

“We are pleased to continue contributing in coordination with local authorities to improve the living conditions of our neighboring communities and all of Ucayali. Since the beginning of our operations in 2016, Ocho Sur has worked to achieve inclusive economic development in the Peruvian jungle, which is the best way to care for the Amazon forests and their biodiversity,” Saldaña noted.

For his part, the mayor of Nueva Requena, Humberto Banda, highlighted the importance of the strategic alliance between the public sector and private companies, “to work together for the benefit of populations far from the city, of large cities, for that they have the least,” the mayor finally specified.
