In addition to our 11,000 hectare farms, we have our own forest reservations and have made protection agreements with our neighboring communities Santa Clara de Uchunya and Shambo Porvenir. In total, we’ve protected 2,500 hectares of rainforest.

A study conducted in 2022 by Green Initiative (Brazil) estimated that since the start of our operations in 2016, our fields have captured more than 14 million tons of carbon (tCO2eq).

In 2022 alone, Green Initiative estimated that our fields captured more than 944,841 tons of carbon from the air, compensating the carbon footprint of more than half a million Peruvians according to data from the Global Carbon Budget 2023. The studies by Green Initiative are ongoing, and while the results are encouraging, we are looking for ways to reduce our carbon footprint. We hope to be a carbon neutral organization!
