Education is a pillar for building a better future, and access to education is often limited in rural Peru. That’s why Ocho Sur actively contributes for the continuous improvement of schools by collaborating with the Regional Directorate of Education of Ucayali and the Local Educational Management Unit of Coronel Portillo.

Ocho Sur has given materials to construct two schools in Bajo Rayal and Zanja Seca, two towns close to the plantation. These schools have been crucial for the nearly 50 children who have already graduated from primary education and the approximately 46 who are currently attending primary and secondary education.

With education, the opportunities for a better future are not just dreams, but realities.
