After more than three months of intense and disputed matches, the second edition of the emotional Intercommunity Football Championship for Men and Women “II Copa Ocho Sur 2023” came to an end, which brought together 15 communities from the districts of Nueva Requena and Curimaná, with its 26 representative teams.
This football tournament, which has generated very good expectations in the region, was organized for the second year by Ocho Sur, a business group dedicated to the sustainable production of oil palm products and derivatives in Ucayali, within the framework of its social responsibility and community relations.
The closing ceremony of this football event that has become the great intercommunity sports festival in Pucallpa, took place at the Hotel Costa del Sol, as had been scheduled in advance, and was attended by the respective delegates of the participating communities, as well as the local press.
During the ceremony, Ulises Saldaña, Community Relations Manager and President of the Organizing Committee of the “Copa Ocho Sur”, expressed that the great objective of this sports tournament is to bring a little joy, fun and consolidate friendship between the populations themselves. neighbors and you are in turn with the palm growing company.
