Under the theme “Development of the Peruvian Amazon and the New World Economic Order”, the 6th Amazon Entrepreneurs Congress (CEA 2025) will take place on June 5–6 at the Universidad Nacional Agraria de la Selva, in the city of Tingo María, Huánuco.
This annual event—the largest of its kind in the Peruvian Amazon—is organized by the Grupo Pro Amazonía (GPA), with support from the Amazonian Council of Chambers of Commerce (CACC), the Amazon Regional Commonwealth, the Regional Government of Huánuco, the Chambers of Commerce of Huánuco and Tingo María, and the Municipality of Leoncio Prado.
The two-day agenda will address critical topics for the region’s development, including the ambitious Trans-Amazonian Railway Project, which aims to connect the port of Chancay with the central jungle and, ultimately, Brazil. Other major connectivity initiatives will also be discussed.
Key issues such as territorial planning to unlock sustainable investment, and proposals to improve citizen, property, and legal security in the Amazon region—framed within a long-term vision leading up to 2055—will also be explored.
The congress will bring together members of Congress, cabinet ministers, regional governors, business leaders, public and private sector representatives, Indigenous communities, academics, and political party representatives to discuss strategies for the comprehensive development of the Peruvian Amazon.
CEA 2025 is structured into eleven thematic sessions covering: entrepreneurship and investment opportunities, territorial planning, circular economy, agroindustry, reforestation, connectivity, bio-businesses, and Amazonian security.
Notably, on the second day of the congress, representatives from major political parties will present their proposals for the Amazon region in virtual sessions, including: Alfredo Barnechea (Acción Popular), Rafael Belaunde (Libertad Popular), Hernando de Soto (ILD), Keiko Fujimori (Fuerza Popular), Wolfgang Grozo (Integridad Democrática), and Alfonso López-Chau (Ahora Nación).
