In relation to biased information, issued by a local media, about the acquisition of land in Ucayali, Grupo Ocho Sur, a company dedicated to the sustainable production of palm products and by-products in this region, confirmed that it began its operations in in 2016, after acquiring the Tibecocha and Zanja Seca estates, after three public auctions organized by a trust entity, supervised by the Superintendency of Banking and Insurance (SBS).
This was made known through a statement where he expressed that these facts do not correspond to the truth, because since the beginning of his administration he indicates that he has acted 100% in accordance with compliance with Peruvian legality and regulations.
“This is based on a corporate code whose basic columns are transparency and integrity inside and outside the company, and especially, in front of the entire Ucayalina community,” the statement states.
Likewise, Ocho Sur affirms that it has been attending to all investigations and administrative or judicial processes in defense of its rights and using the legal tools that the Rule of Law grants it.
Regarding the facts disseminated by the aforementioned publication, which are today the subject of investigation, the agroindustrial company emphasizes that it is vital to specify that these occurred before Ocho Sur took control of the Tibecocha and Zanja Seca plantations, that is, before 2016.
Likewise, the business group reiterated that, since the beginning of its activities, it has not expanded its areas, nor does it plan to do so, describing as irresponsible the publication of that media outlet that seeks to involve Ocho Sur in an investigation into a criminal organization. apparently made up of former officials and other people, with whom it has had no dealings or coordination.
Finally, Ocho Sur states in its statement to ratify its commitment to continue acting based on its corporate code, in compliance with Peruvian legality, and rejects any criminal practice and/or practice outside current regulations, as well as any attempt at pressure or extortion. media or third parties, that seeks to affect the line of conduct they have been carrying out.
