The Ocho Sur Business Group, dedicated to the sustainable production of palm products and derivatives in Ucayali, delivered the remodeling of three bridges with concrete and iron that make up the Population Centers of Unión Progreso y Esperanza, located in the district of Nueva Requena .

These works, which were carried out within the framework of the social responsibility policy of the palm oil company, in coordination with local authorities, generate greater connectivity between them and a notable saving of time for their neighbors to reach Nueva Requena capital, Campoverde and Pucallpa, substantially improving the quality of life of the residents.

Likewise, the remodeling of these three bridges will benefit residents of various population centers such as Naranjal, the native community of Shambo Porvenir and other communities in the Ama Kella sector, on the axis of kilometer 19 of the Federico Basadre highway.

During the delivery ceremony, the municipal agent of Unión Progreso, Elfer Vargas, described the commissioning of the bridges as a “historic moment,” because for years they have been almost isolated and now they will be better interconnected with other populated centers.

“We feel very happy about this work. Our recognition to Ocho Sur, for being good neighbors,” he noted.

Likewise, Marcelino Ramírez, mayor of the Delegate Municipality of Esperanza, highlighted the delivery of the work as a long-awaited wish came true. “We now have a calm viability to leave our town center to wherever we want to go, thanks to Ocho Sur, our great ally,” said the mayor.

The inauguration of the work was led by the general manager of Ocho Sur, Michael Spoor, who stressed that these are not only important works, but are also symbols of the interconnection between residents and the great friendship between the communities and Ocho Sur.

“We are always committed to helping, to improve the lives of residents. We are with you and we are proud to be part of this region as friends, neighbors and strategic partners,” remarked the senior official.
