OCHO SUR STARTED CONSTRUCTION OF A MEDICAL POST IN SANTA CLARA DE UCHUNYA

Within the framework of its 2022 – 2023 Social Investment Plan, Ocho Sur, a business group dedicated to the sustainable production of oil palm products and derivatives in Ucayali, began the process of building a modern Medical Post in the native community of Santa Clara de Uchunya, in the Nueva Requena district.

The health facility that will benefit its hundreds of residents is built in the community, on an area of land of 200 square meters, with noble materials and in accordance with the demand levels dictated by the Ministry of Health.

This was announced by the general manager of Ocho Sur, Michael Spoor, during an inspection visit to the work, accompanied by the head of Santa Clara de Uchunya, Wilson Barbarán, his authorities and community members who showed their joy at seeing that, very Soon, your own Medical Post will be a reality.

“Since the beginning of our operations in 2016, we have been working hard to contribute to improving the standard of living of the population of our 23 neighboring communities, promoting health, education, infrastructure, and basic services. This is one of them,” said the general manager of the palm oil group.

He added that the modern health facility in Santa Clara de Uchunya is part of Ocho Sur’s social responsibility policy, which will have modern environments to care for patients, such as: consultation room, triage, first aid, emergency care. births, hygienic services, electricity and water.

At the end of his visit, Michael Spoor stressed that “Ocho Sur once again ratifies its absolute respect for the native and mestizo communities, their leaders, and their cultures; as well as their commitment to continue working for the inclusive development of the families of the neighboring towns and Ucayali.”
