OCHO SUR DELIVERED NEW SCHOOL PREMISES TO THE LA PERLA DE SANJA SECA CASERÍO

Within the framework of the implementation of its 2022 Social Investment Plan, Grupo Ocho Sur, dedicated to the sustainable production of oil palm products and derivatives in Ucayali, delivered this Saturday, May 21, the new I.E. school premises. 65215, located in the La Perla de Sanja Seca Farmhouse.

The educational center, which houses about 30 students at the initial and first primary education level, was built with noble material in conjunction with the residents of the hamlet belonging to the district of Nueva Requena and is registered in the Local Educational Management Unit (UGEL) by Coronel Portillo.

The new premises of the educational institution have been built on a 192-square-meter plot of land and consist of 2 classrooms, a management room, a girls’ bathroom and a boys’ bathroom; with a modern building implemented with electricity, water and drainage. It replaces the previous one that was in danger due to being very close to the Aguaytía River, which due to the force of its current has gained ground in the hamlet.

At the event, Michael Spoor, general manager of Ocho Sur, stated that this work is part of the company’s social responsibility program, aimed at strengthening the region and the well-being of the population of the 27 neighboring communities, in the areas of health education. and infrastructure.

During the ceremony, the representative of the Ucayali Regional Directorate of Education (DREU), Kenyi Oncebay, expressed his congratulations to Ocho Sur for the economic approach provided to education in Ucayali, highlighting the initiative to support communities far from the urban area, where many times the State does not reach. “We will provide this school with the needs,” he said.

For their part, the lieutenant governor of the hamlet, Teobaldo Rengifo, and the director of the educational institution, Maira Minaya, emphasized their joy and satisfaction for the support received from Ocho Sur, by giving them the work that was previously just a dream and now it has become a reality.
